I speak to clients often about choosing "peace." It occurred to me that when we talk about peace, we often talk about it in an interpersonal context. My mind gravitates toward songs like John Lennon's "Imagine" or the classic peace signs of the 60's anti-war movement. I propose that we bring peace into the intrapersonal conversation more regularly. Let's afford ourselves peace within. Peace within begets peace without. Let's start with the "self" and take a moment to reflect. Are your thoughts, words, and deeds manifesting peace in your life? If not, maybe it's time to make some adjustments and choose peace within.
